“As Chair of the Personnel and Pensions Committee, I would like to thank the Governor for his proposal to address the Pension situation in the State of Illinois. I appreciate the hard work of the members of the pension committee and look forward to continuing to work on pension policy that is respectful of the hard working employees of the state of Illinois and fiscally responsible for the state budget.” “Our state has made good strides toward fiscal responsibility in recent years, and we must continue this momentum. Property taxes and pensions are two of my main priorities in Springfield, and I will ensure that the voices of residents on these topics are properly represented in budget discussions. This initiative aims to provide constituents in the 84th House District with enriching educational experiences by offering complimentary access to some of Chicagoland's most renowned museums and zoos.
Residents of the 84th District are encouraged to take advantage of this unique opportunity to explore these world-class institutions with their families. Representative Kifowit emphasizes the importance of lifelong learning and the value of cultural enrichment for constituents of all ages. "If we want to foster a community of engaged and educated individuals, it's crucial to provide access to diverse educational resources," said Kifowit. The proposed legislation mandates the creation and distribution of a comprehensive Veterans and service members' benefits, services, and protections poster by the Department of Veterans Affairs, made available by the Department of Labor.
