"Myself and many others in the general assembly take the pensions situation very seriously," stated Kifowit. "In fact, last year we held 15 subject matter hearings to address this issue. The bottom line is that the Tier 2 pensions system doesn't even measure up to those of our neighboring states. The proposed legislation mandates the creation and distribution of a comprehensive Veterans and service members' benefits, services, and protections poster by the Department of Veterans Affairs, made available by the Department of Labor.
