Chicago, Ill - Illinois State Representative Stephanie Kifowit (D-Oswego) recently appeared on the Lisa Dent show on WGN Radio 720 to address the pressing issue of Illinois' pension system. "Myself and many others in the general assembly take the pensions situation very seriously," stated Kifowit. "In fact, last year we held 15 subject matter hearings to address this issue. The bottom line is that the Tier 2 pensions system doesn't even measure up to those of our neighboring states. I've heard from numerous individuals who are deterred from pursuing careers in Illinois due to concerns about our pension system." During her discussion with Lisa Dent on Friday, Representative Kifowit highlighted the urgent need to modify Illinois' Tier 2 pension system.
